Don's drive for hunting was
shifted into gear at the very
young age of 4 while hunting
with his dad and brother.
His dad has always been an avid
outdoorsman as well as an
excellent game cook.
Learning how to track, clean,
and cook fish, squirrel, rabbit,
grouse, woodcock, pheasant,
duck, geese, and deer before he
was old enough to even hunt
them, gave him a jump start in
the wild. Don came to the
realization that getting "close"
to the game was ever so
important. Whether it be
with a game call or just his own
hands and mouth, Don has been
communicating with the great
outdoors since the beginning of
his hunting days. Being a
good hunter and guide takes a
certain level of patience and
understanding of both nature and
the client. The challenge
of it all creates a feat that
Don lives to achieve. Don prides
himself in bringing his clients
the "Close Encounter" they are
looking for.
"The hunt is
always greater than the kill.
However, there is no better
feeling than to see my clients
happy at hunts end."
